Multiplying Decimals
- Ignore the decimal point and multiply the numbers as if they were whole numbers
- Go back and look at BOTH factors (that's what we call the numbers being multiplied) and count the number of digits to the RIGHT of the decimal point in BOTH numbers
- Place your decimal point in the product so you have the same number of digits to the right.
